„Up-to-date and accurate – Worldwide Yield Prognoses through satellite images“

This is the title of the presentation by Dr. Jürgen Born, Head of Marketing and Sales, at the 35th International Brewery Seminar.

Dr. Born presents the requirements on information workflows in the globalized market and derives the demands on modern information systems. He reflects the chances and limits of the current satellite technology to evaluate the status of spring barley and he describes the possibilities to use that information within growing models for precise predictions of yield and quality.

In his outlook he illustrates the future developments to improve the information situation of buyers and traders in the malting sector to judge the next harvest.
